Chicken is a VNC viewer for Mac OS X version 10.4 and later. Chicken allows you to connect remotely to another computer, view the screen or take control of the device. The Chicken software offers great client functionality. With a VNC application such as Chicken, you can operate the remote computer as though you were right there in front of it. Chicken is based on Chicken of the VNC, but contains a number of bug fixes and some additional features. As with Chicken of the VNC, Chicken features a full-screen mode, saving passwords in Keychain, mouse-button emulation for one-button mice, and many more options. Chicken of the VNC is a fast, lightweight VNC client for Mac OS X. A VNC client allows one to display and interact with a remote computer screen. In October 2010, development was revived on SourceForge under the name Chicken[citation needed], where versions were released there up through version 2.2b2 (released November 16, 2011). Chicken was cloned to a github project , with a 2.2b3 build released on October 21, 2016 which was targeted at Mac OS X Lion (10.7) and above, along with 64-bit processors (macOS Catalina, released October 7, 2019, dropped 32-bit support, causing older releases of Chicken and Chicken of the VNC to stop functioning).
